1. Asphalt Cold Recycling Technology Overview
To save natural resources and reduce solid construction wastes, ACE Group developed RAP (reclaimed asphalt pavement) cold recycling equipment and technique.
RAP cold recycling plant is to use a milling machine to mill the original asphalt pavement, then transport the milled material to the plant for crushing and screening (if necessary), and then mix them with aggregate, polymer bitumen, agent, active filler (cement, lime, etc.), water and other additives at ambient temperature, producing new asphalt mix. Then the new asphalt mix can be paved on road again.

2. Application
This process is suitable for the lower layer, base layer, and bottom layer of the asphalt pavement of expressways, first and second-grade roads, and the surface layer of third and fourth-grade asphalt pavements. When used for the surface layer of country roads, slurry seal, chip seal, and micro-surfacing should be used as surface wear layers.

3. Advantages
1. The reclaimed asphalt mixture (including the base material when milling with the base layer) can be fully recycled, which reduces the cost of raw materials and reduces environmental pollution.
2. Emulsified asphalt is used as an organic recycled binder and cement or lime is used as an inorganic recycled binder to form a composite organic hydraulic material, which provides sufficient bearing capacity.
3. The use of emulsified asphalt improves the construction conditions and extends the workable season.
4. Compared with cold-in-place recycling, the mix (RAP cold recycling on a plant) ratio control is more accurate, improving the road evenness and ensuring road performance.

4. ACE’s Integrated Solution of Cold RAP Recycling with Bitumen Emulsion
ACE Group provides integrate solution of cold RAP recycling with bitumen emulsion, ranging from completion equipment (plant), technical consultation, on-site training and operation guide.
