1. Overview of micro surfacing treatment on pavement rutting
Mirco Surfacing is an effective method to cure rutting on soft pavement. A special equipment, Slurry Paver, is used to mix polymer modified bitumen, aggregate, filler, water and additives at a certain recipe, forming slurry mixture. The the slurry mixture was paved on rutting track by a V-shaped paving device at the rear of slurry paver truck.
Slurry paver adopts variable depth paving technique to seal and pave the rutting tracks that always have different depths. Generally, the section of rutted track is concave, thus the transverse pavement thickness shall be dynamic.
ACE's specially-designed slurry paver truck, with v-shaped paving device at rear, perfect seal and fill the concave rutting. Meanwhile, aggregate distribution is also optimized so as to enhance the stability of the newly-paved roads.
2. Application
This process is suitable to fix the rutting with a maximum depth of 40mm on overloaded, worn and instable soft pavement.

- V-shaped paving device can achieve different thicknesses of cross-sections. Aggregates with different particle sizes can be properly distributed with thickness changes.
